Trader Suffers Assault from Neighbour at Egbe Atoyo, Ogun State
A Trader, Mrs Bello Mosurat was on Wednesday allegedly assaulted by her neighbour, Soboyejo Ahmed Gbenga, age 38.
According to the woman, Mrs Bello Mosurat, who has been on admission in a private hospital as at the time of this report, was sitting near her shop when Mr Soboyejo Ahmed Gbenga, a block industry owner approached her and accused her of coming to sit down in front of his premises and it soon sparked an outrage when Soboyejo Ahmed Gbenga allegedly hit her on the eye resulting to bleeding from the nose.
Mosurat added that she and Soboyejo Ahmed Gbenga’s wife once had a dispute and for that reason, Mr Gbenga and his wife threatened her and had been trying different ways to harm her.
According to investigation, the matter was reported to Sakora police station division headquarters on Ayepe road, Sagamu. When the Crime Officer of the Police division was contacted, she confirmed the incident but added that the said Mr Gbenga is on the run.
When the Reporter however called the phone number of Soboyejo Ahmed Gbenga and asked him why he was running from the police, he said he travelled.
How the police at Sakora, Sagamu, Ogun state will handle the matter remains to be seen even as the victim, Mrs Bello Mosurat, lie critically ill as at the time of this report.
