The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye gave an account of how a former head of state late General Sanni Abacha was not able to achieve his ambition of succeeding himself due to prayers of the church. According to him he got an information that the then military ruler would be coming for him at the Redeemed Camp Ground due to prayers he was offering, accordingly the then military head of state was told by is sorcerers that their efforts at helping him achieve his goals were been nullified by the GO’s prayers. When Pastor Adeboye got the information, according to him, though he was worried he nevertheless, kept on praying and God answered: That ambition was not only aborted but the military ruler passed on.
The magazine’s investigation revealed that in the midst of the crippling uncertainly, fear, insecurity, hunger, poor education, no electricity, unemployment, poor infrastructure and many more; hope is what is more valuable than anything else to most Nigerians. This hope and the strong faith in God is what keeps many of the citizens alive. Investigation by the magazine revealed that some nations did not experience half of the tension that Nigeria has been made to go through as a country, yet Nigeria is still intact.
