And He Made Urhobo Proud as Fellow of NIM
He is certainly not the first to join the rank of fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management but the rise of Hope Ighomrore, a Ph.D holder in Business Administration is a testament of determination.

For many members of the Nigeria Institute of Management, NIM, the memories of the Institute’s investiture of fellows may have come and gone, the top notch event which was held in Muson centre, Shell hall, Onikan, Lagos, attracted the best titans and doyen of management as well as veteran, seasoned professionals and specialists, that are highly sought after in Nigeria and abroad as far as management is concerned.
Described as the highest professional grade for members, the NIM fellowship was introduced 61 years ago precisely in 1963 to honour members who truly deserve the honour. Dr Mrs Christiana V N Adako,
President and Chairman of Council described the fellowship award in her welcome address as “a call to responsibility”.
She noted further that NIM fellows have been contributing to the body of knowledge, through their contributions to contemporary issues bothering on management, leadership and governance over the years. At the ceremony she encouraged fellows to continue in this wise as it gives vent to the decision of Council to establish Fellows’ faculties’.
Similarly, Mrs Abdu-Guasa, a former senior lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic, now NNPC staff and immediate past chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) NNPC Chapter, a consummate professional, energy industry expert as well as business development and business intelligence expert in her lecture titled “
Integrating Sustainability into Strategic Decision Making” spoke extensive on the role of strategic decision making to integrate society and the need to sustain good decisions/policies that continue to impact positively on governance, climate change, women gender, environmental and societal needs.
General Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR, current Chief of Army Staff, who many say prioritizes the welfare of men of the Army enjoined Nigerians to see soldiers as part of the society and equally thanked the institute for the intensive curriculum that it has developed over the years for it members. A development he says has helped to sharpen his skills in management since he became a member of the Institute.
Equally honoured with the fellowship award was Hope Ighomrore, a doctorate degree holder in Business Administration from Nnadi Azikiwe University, Awka who has held top management positions including being the Acting Chairman, Bomadi local Government council and currently a Director of Administration and head of Personnel Management at the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Asaba.
His Colleagues hailed him as he received his fellowship Certificate, a testament to his Service to the Institute, having served as past branch chairman and made vast contributions to the Institute in different branches of NIM especially in the South South region.
Certainly the ovation he got is well deserved for the Warri man who grew from grass to grace.
